Bottom of the ocean
I saw
Sail away
Its a Sailors Life
Always and forever
If I told a secret
Celebrate
Hocus Pocus
Everybody's so lonely, lonely
Stand by you
Beautiful Angel

Forever and a day
All out of faith
Lonely reprise

Based on the original Hans Christian Anderson fable, this tragic journey of broken dreams is an ideal storyline for musical theatre. The Rock/Pop score is to my mind the best theatre writing dean has done, encapsulating every emotion possible. With fun tracks like Its a sailors life to the heart wrenching 'So I say goodbye' the Little mermaid is a fascinating piece. Narrated by a five piece boy band you don't even notice that the protagonist loses her tongue and is unable to sing in the second act.

The sound track has various west end singers who are guesting on it (Emma Kershaw, Rohan Rekord, Hazel Fernandez) but the one track that blows me away and in my mind equals any disney classic song is Anna Jane Cassey's version of 'Hocus Pocus' Again Dean also shows his incredible vocal versatility as the prince, and the five narrating (virtual) boyband.

Compared to the rubbish Ive seen in the West End over past two years. I'm amazed no big time producer has picked this one up and made a fortune out of it. I think with a bit of fairy dust this could be the next long running show in the west end -
